It's COMING!

The Author of this post is Cheryl Martinez

Gosh I love football season! It’s coming up soon and I’m already planning what I’m going to do for each game this year. I like cooking a big old pot of something and having everyone over – last year I did a lot of stews and chilis because it gets really cold and crisp here in the fall. I think this year I’m going to try my hand at some casseroles and even some pulled pork, if I feel like it! I recently got Direc4U.COM satellite at home so I should be able to get all the games and some extra channels with no problem so it’s shaping up to be the best year yet, at least in terms of having access to tons of games. I love how everyone comes to my place to watch the first game of the year and hopefully my cooking will keep them coming back game after game! I know I like company whether

Working at Home

I run a home based business on a freelance basis and offer online assistance like web site designing, banner designing, etc. It was fine for a while but then I started to get hooked on chatting and started to chat more than I worked. That was when I had to find a job outside to kick the habit of chatting online which were costing me $700 a month in internet bills alone! I was using up hours on internet line without limits. The home based business earned me a little money here and there but was insufficient to pay for main bills. Therefore, you need to watch out what you do so that you don't chalk up too much time chatting away.

Being my Own Boss

I have been working at home since 2004. It has always been my dream to work at a home office and I guess I am blessed in this aspect of my life. I love working from home and who wouldn't right? And I get the benefits of a full employment like EPF (Employees Provident Fund) and SOCSO. Moreover, my boss is understanding and allows me to work from a home office that is equipped with a laptop, desktop, LCD monitor, multi-functional printer, scanner, copier, fax machine and a digital camera. I am being my own boss literally.

Legal Matters

Lawsuits are serious legal matters where the client wants reimbursement for his sufferings or loss of money by getting a paid lawyer to litigate his case in court.
For your information, Actos is an oral diabetes medicine that has been shown by recent studies to lead to serious injuries such as heart attacks, heart failure, and an increased risk of bladder cancer, which can result in an Actos lawsuit. Pioglitazone, the chemical name for Actos was sold under the trade names Actos, ActoplusMet, Competact and Duetact.

So beware of what you are buying off the shelves from the pharmacy in your neighborhood. Some of the medication that we take may have adverse side effects. So it is better to do some research on the internet first before purchasing that medication or as prescribed by your doctor who may be unaware of the lawsuits. Hence, it is good to seek second or even third opinion from the medical experts if you can afford it. You can never take your health for granted and trust to consume every medication given to you safely.

Some of the side effects may take years to be discovered by clients or patients. By then it may be too late for you already. So, be in the know all the time as knowledge is power and brings good health. Some of the medication may cause obesity or numbness of the peripherals. Others may have worse side effects.

Skipping Church Today

Later on, I will be going with my colleague to Kedah to meet up with a client and have to skip church service today. My friend has been tithing to church every week in the region of 4 figures in RM. On a side note, whenever she tithes faithfully and attend church service, the messages by the pastors or deacons are exalting and encouraging with much grace. But whenever she skips church due to business and did not tithe the RM 1k per week, the church management is not too happy about it and start preaching about condemnation and law! So, money certainly speaks the loudest here in my local church where the management seems to take our tithes for granted and expects it to be given faithfully every week! Now where was the humble attitude once upon a time??

Gambling is a disease

Gambling is a disease. I have seen my own close relatives lost a lot of money due to gambling. My very own paternal grandma lost a fortune in gambling. Being educated until primary six, the only way she knows to make money is through gambling in the hope of striking it rich. But the end result is that she lost a fortune and had to hawk laksa in the streets just to bring up 4 children by herself – it is unfortunate that her husband passed away early in his thirties due to sickness. My own uncle lost a house and now had to rent an apartment in the low cost flats all due to gambling. So, no, for me, I am against gambling at all costs. I have seen the hardships suffered by my relatives due to foolishness in being addicted to gambling. From a life of abundance, they had to lead a life of poverty and living at subsistence level and practise austerity.
